Few lessons are only learned about life through death.This book teaches you how to forgive not only others ,but to our self for those things which we have not done so far in the given life. This book is the story of the old professor Morrie and his student Mitch, who thought and asked the student to make a note of all the teachings and can be later publish to the world after his death.
This book encourages to live the life fully with no regrets but acceptance of love and moments as each day passed by Morrie on his death bed. The old professor with his rich experience wants to give the words of wisdom to one of the finest student of his times (Mitch) and he believed the knowledge that is shared can be passed to others by spreading to every person via this book.
Morrie teaches us"love each other or perish".From the book i understand we as humans are here on the earth for limited time and in this duration we need to accept and cherish the love with the loved ones by loving each other. Once we learn to realize the importance of death , we learn how to live.
Nothing is permanent in this world , everything is perishable.This book is must read at least once in a life time.It teaches you about the joy of giving ,loving, understanding the each other flaws while focusing on the current scenario or situation and later detaching from it.
It is one of those life lessons book which have profound effect on our thought process. rather than dead in the bed , be alive, get up and step up.
My personal favorite learning from Morrie: "Once you learn how to die , you learn how to live"
